Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi identified “some political forces” that take hostage of the US-China relations. He added that the “political virus” had infected Washington as some politicians continue to attack China and express goodwill to support an international effort to trace the corona virus origin.  These politicians make false accusations that put a stigma on China as the source of the virus.

The foreign minister did not drop a name but it can be recalled that US President Donald Trump accused Beijing for failure to transparently indicate the nature of infection and number of fatalities. The US President even accused the World Health Organization (WHO) to have taken the side of China by not thoroughly looking into how the Western country handled the outbreak when China reasoned that the virus leaked from a maximum security lab.

Meanwhile,  China  welcomes the possibility of working with the rest of the global scientific community to trace the origin of the virus. The prime minister said that the endeavor should be  marked with professionalism, fairness, and constructive attitude.
